Custom Project the Mamba
Jim Miller , Island Stainless and Aluminum Design’s General Manager and Head Fabricator, has a racing background in driving and building multiple classes race cars. Jim had wanted to design his own car, so with a bit of what he learned from racing most of his life he came up with the Mamba named after the Black Mamba Snake. The Mamba has used a Chevrolet Chevette for the rear differential, the rack and pinion steering and lower A arms. The upper A arms are fabricated by Island Stainless and Aluminum Design and uses coil over shocks. The Mamba is powered by a GSXR 1100 motor. The Frame, upper A arms, shock towers, motor mounts and body sheet metal has all been fabricated by Island Stainless and Aluminum Design. Jim’s dream is getting closer to being finished stay tuned as the project progresses.
