We manufacture CNC Plasma tables in a variety of sizes 5’x10’ and 4’x4’ tables for example, we can also work with you to design and build a CNC Plasma table that fits your business and needs. For our “Megan” CNC Plasma tables we use “Hypertherm Plasma torches”. With Hypertherm’s New Fine Cut consumables, that delivers a significant increase in cut quality, by providing a narrower kerf and almost no heat affected areas. The core benefits for the FineCut technology is an elimination of some secondary operations, because of virtually dross free cutting and a better overall finish on both Stainless Steel and mild steel. The distance between the torch and the metal surface greatly affects the quality of the cut. At ISA Design Ltd. we chose to use the MP1000-THC by “CandCNC” with their breakthrough in technology for Torch Height Control. We believe that the MP1000-THC will make a good quality and cost effective torch height controller. Utilizing dual processors their unit has been engineered to not just do the THC function, but to provide a new and better level of machine-software interface. Working with “Artsoft” MACH3 software the controller can be used from the front panel or the MACH3 screens on your computer monitor.
You can manually write G-code in Mach 3 but it is much faster and more efficient to use separate CAM software to generate the G-code. There are many different CAM programs to choose from but here at ISA Design Ltd. we prefer to use BobCAD-CAM software.
Power source
The ISA Design Ltd. “Megan” line of CNC plasma tables have their own power supply that runs off standard 120 VAC power input. The Plasma cutting torch unit requires 240 VAC and you will need to make the appropriate power available.
Adequate workspace
An area with good ventilation, concrete floors and away from any flammable materials is needed for the ISA Design Ltd. “Megan” line of CNC Plasma tables to operate effectively.
Location
The ISA Design Ltd. “Megan” line of CNC Plasma tables needs adequate ventilation for the fumes created by the cutting process and for the cooling of the power supply. It is recommended that the “Megan” CNC Plasma table be kept with a minimum of 2 feet from any wall or obstruction. Ideally, a perimeter should be laid out around the “Megan” CNC Plasma table for safety reasons. The area around the “Megan” CNC Plasma table should also be as clean and free from dirt as possible. Routine cleaning of the area should be mandatory after heavy use.
